Derek Partee is a licensed Private Investigator at Citywide Investigations located in Waxhaw, NC. Prior to that, Partee worked for the Nassau County Police Department (hereinafter NCPD) located in Long Island, NY.
He retired in 2007 after 25 years of service at the rank of Detective. He is certified and experienced in conducting criminal investigations in the areas of Auto Crimes, Dignitary Protection, Gang Violence, Narcotics, Sexual Offenses, and Special Weapons Tactical Response. Partee was honored to be the first Detective in the History of the NCPD to be assigned to the prestigious FBI Joint Terrorist Task Force (JTTF) where his investigations included the horrific attack of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Partee’s last assignment was to the elite NCPD Homicide Squad where he retired with a 100 percent solvability, closure and conviction rate.

After his retirement from the NCPD, Partee became actively engaged with the Nassau County Republican Party as a Political Candidate. In 2008, he was selected as a Trustee Candidate for the Village of Hempstead. In 2009, the Nassau County Republican and Conservative Parties backed his candidacy for the Nassau County Legislative Council. In 2010, the Republican and Conservative Parties selected him to run as a Candidate for the New York State 18th Assembly District.

Partee has worked as a Campaign Advisor and Strategist for numerous Candidates including current Nassau County Court Jurist, The Honorable Judge Jerald Carter, Carnell Foskey, former Chief Judge of the Nassau County Family Court and The Honorable Judge Joy Watson, former candidate for Nassau County District Attorney. Upon moving to Charlotte, NC in 2011, Partee continued to be politically involved. He has worked with the North Carolina Republican Black Engagement Office as a volunteer to increase minority enrollment and participation. He is the former Chief Campaign Advisor and Strategist for John Powell, Candidate for Charlotte City Council At-Large.

Partee currently holds the position of Vice Chairman for the North Carolina Republican Party’s 12th Congressional District.
